International Communications

Since the British battle ship, the Providence came to Muroran in 1796, Muroran has been famous worldwide for serving many vessels from all over the world as the center of commerce and logistics hub in Hokkaido and friendly to all visitors and immigrants. Nowadays, many foreign people enjoy staying here; especially, more than 200 foreign exchange students of the Muroran Institute of Technology and Hokuto Bunka School have active roles in the community.
