119番通報における多言語通訳体制の運用開始について

室蘭市消防本部では、外国人観光客及び留学生など、日本語によるコミュニケーションが困難な方からの119番通報及び災害現場での対応を円滑に行うため、民間通訳事業者による電話同時通訳サービスを用いた7カ国語による通訳サービスの運用を開始いたしました。

英語、中国語、韓国語、ポルトガル語、スペイン語、ベトナム語(注1)、タイ語(注2)

対応時間

24時間365日

(注1)ベトナム語10時～20時、(注2)タイ語9時～18時

• 高機能消防指令センターで受信する119番通報等の対応時
• 災害現場での活動時
• その他の消防業務時
  

3者間同時通訳のイメージ

1. 可能であれば、「日本語が話せない」と「何語が話せるか」を英語で伝えてください。
2. 通訳オペレータに電話をつなぎますので、そのままお待ちください。
3. 通訳者の指示に従って、お話しください。
4. 通報内容を通報者から聞き取り、救急車等を出動させます。

 

New multi-language 119 call service

The main office of fire department in Muroran city started a service that now provides help to foreign tourists and students who cannot communicate in Japanese. The new outsourced phone system covers 7 different languages.

Introduction

To respond smoothly, we now provide a three-way calling system between a translation operator,the fire department and the non Japanese speaking caller.

Supported languages

English, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese(※1)and Thai(※2)

Operation times

24 hours a day. 7days a week.

※1 Vietnamese 10:00 am. - 8:00 pm.

※2 Thai 9:00 am. - 6:00 pm.

 Service coverage

1. When High-performance command center receives 119 call.
2. During activities at the disaster site.
3. During firefighting operations.

A firefighter and non Japanese speaker can share a cell phone to talk to the translation operator.

1.  Tell them in English that you don't speak Japanese and which language you speak.
2. Please wait until your line is to be connected to the Translation operator.
3. Please follow the instruction of the translator, then please inform them accordingly.
4. Call center dispatch ambulances after getting your information from the translator.
