International Communications

Since the British ship, the Providence came to Muroran in 1796, the Port of Muroran has been famous worldwide for serving many vessels from all over the world as the center of commerce and goods distribution in Hokkaido. Many foreign people enjoy staying here; especially, more than 50 foreign exchange students of the Muroran Institute of Technology have active roles in the community.
